Take a walk on the tundra and feel the softness of never-ending moss. Have you ever seen a real glacier? Wait until you visit Glacier Park. The beauty of the colors in the ice will intrigue you. You can even see Mt McKinley from Anchorage, or you can visit it's base for a spectacular view! You will see thousands of lakes, and the water is crystal clear!

You have to experience Anchorage to it's fullest. You have to visit the Museum, and discover what Alaska is all about. The culture is diverse, and interesting.

If you like to eat, it is a promise that you will gain some weight! The coast is right there, and you will enjoy every seafood you can think of. You will want to explore the shops that line up the main street of Anchorage. You will find so many things that will amaze you. Yes, Anchorage, Alaska is a traveler's paradise!

This telephone exchange, between my 13-year-old self and whatever unfortunate
clerk happened to answer the phone at my local department store, was part of
my morning ritual for most of the summer of 1987. Occasionally, the person on
the other end of the line would make a critical mistake and tell me that they
