Video Conferencing Hardware – How To Set Up Online Conferencing Equipment
A great alternative to having countless face to face meetings with clients, colleagues or partners is the video conference. Using both software and hardware designed for video conference, you can hear and see what others have to say even if they´re not in the same room as you.
You can use video conference software to share opinions, files, documents, as you talk to each other. To do a video conference, you will need an Internet connection, a computer, a microphone and a webcam. Different types of hardware give you different performance, sound and video quality.
Installing hardware for video conferences should be planned in advance. You might need projectors, cameras, drop down screens, monitors, quality headphones and microphones, projectors, VCR or DVD recorders and players, wireless remote control panels, auxiliary video-audio sources and even podiums.
You should install the software before you install the video camera. Connect the camera to your PC, insert the CD that comes with it and click the install hardware link. Follow the step by step install process after that.
Because some of the software is uploaded to the camera when you start it, you should turn on the camera before you start the software. Its led will become green if everything was done correctly and the camera is ready to go. When you first start the application for video, you will see a wizard process that will help you configure it, asking you questions and processing your replies.
It makes video installation much easier. If you need help at any time, there is a special button that will assist you if you click it. It will tell you what each parameter means. If you need to modify any of the settings later, you can do that with ease. If something goes wrong when you first install it, don´t worry, it can be easily fixed.
Connect the microphone with the headset in order to install the hardware for audio. This will solve the audio part of the conference, allowing you to get phone calls. After that, do the same like you did with the video installation.

Sony DCR-HC62 MiniDV Camcorder Help?
Hey guys, I have a Sony DCR-HC62 MiniDV Camcorder. I was wondering if there is a way to hook up a remote microphone to it. I do a lot of racing videos with my camcorder mounted on the outside of the cars and the wind noise is really bad. I would like to have the camcorder wounted on the outside of the car and the mike on the inside away from the wind. any thoughts
Is the a good quality miniDV camcorder that has a microphone input??. good night video recording too
So far as I know the DCR-HC62 doesn't have a microphone input. You can record the audio separately and edit it in though. If you've got an MP3 player see what you can do with it - a lot of them have built in mics.
Developer teases voice control of Zune, using PC and Windows Phone (video) (Engadget)
The great thinkers of the world have long known a secret that we're now happy
to disclose: it's not necessity that's the mother invention, but rather
_laziness_. Fortunately, expending a great deal of effort on a project --
simply to perform a task effortlessly -- sometimes brings very cool results. A
concept app known as ZuneVoice easily passes muster in this realm, which is
used to control Zune software on the PC with only a standard microphone and
spoken commands. As you can see in the demo video, its creator, keyboardp, is
able to play individual songs, issue commands such a "pause" or "next song",
and even display full-screen music videos from YouTube. The developer even
crafted an app for his Lumia 800 known as PhoneZune, which serves as a remote
control for times when he's away from the box. Neither application is yet
publicly available, though feedback is welcome. Next, we're told to expect
Kinect integration. Perhaps one day, these gems will see the light of day.
