High definition television is one of the best advancements in human civilization. From man's earliest days smearing natural dyes on the walls of caves, the masters of technology have been trying to capture the reality of daily life in art and entertainment. But older television technologies could never reach the level of realism needed. With flat HDMI cable, maybe humanity finally can.
If you've had an HDTV for a while, or you've taken the plunge and bought a Blu-Ray disc player, you probably already known what HDMI is. It's a type of cable that you use to interface between your HDTV and peripheral devices such as cable boxes. It provides the absolute best picture quality possible.
So what makes HDMI so special? Well, as soon as you plug it into your television, you'll know. It lets your Xbox, Playstation, and Blu Ray movies pop like never before. It works for audio too. Hook your CD player up to a good sound system through HDMI cabling, and you'll be blown away. It's like you're riding dirty with Chamillionaire himself.
A lot of people, when you mention HDTVs and cables in the same sentence, talk about how cabling is one of the biggest problems with these TVs. If you mount your set on your wall, and you really aren't living if you don't, then you face the situation of having a bunch of wires hanging down out of your set, cluttering up the view. This doesn't contribute to the fresh and nasty experience HDTV should be.
So what can a true trick hustler do about that? That's where flat HDMI cable comes in. This kind of cable gets you the same crispy picture you get with regular HDMI, but it has a trick up its sleeve. While the wires inside are the same, the outside of the cable is made so that its flat, instead of round. As seen as you see it, you'll wonder why call cable can't be like this. Well, why can't it?
When you're using flat HDMI cables, you have a lot of different options for making them nice and presentable looking. You can just run them flat against the wall, as that's a lot better than having them hang down all disorganized. You could even feed them through plastic tubing, fasten that tubing to your wall, and then paint it the same color so that it blends in. Ta da - the wires are gone.
If you haven't yet upgraded to HDMI cables for your HDTV, then you may as well throw your set away. Not trying to hate, but the whole point of an HDTV is to get the best picture and sound possible and you're not doing that if you're not using HDMI. Now that you know about flat HDMI cables, the time has come to make the upgrade. Rise up!

How do I mount my surround sound speakers to the wall?
Our basement was recently refinished and I bought the Sony Surround Sound Speakers (Model SW576). The walls are already wired for surround sound with the speaker cables in a plate coming out of the wall at the rear and front of the room. Do I need to buy brackets to hold the speakers in place, how much are they, and if I do need to buy brackets, what do I do with the wall plate that has the speaker wire coming out of them. Also, if you can suggest a reasonable price and place to buy them, that would be awesome too.Thanks in advance.
If your speakers aren't too heavy, http://www.monoprice.com has some very reasonably priced brackets. I've used them in my own theater.
As far as the wall plates. what I did was mount the brackets as close to the wall plates as I could, so the speakers would hide most of the plate. You could also try painting the plate the same color as the wall. Do not try mounting the brackets to the plates, as they (the plates) will very likely break.
Dexter Recap: The Writing Is on the Wall (New York Magazine)
If there's one line that best sums up last night's episode, it's when Travis

actually the apartment itself? Dude is living large! (As the Prof might
observe, "Blessed are the geeks, for they shall inherit the Earth.")
Before we get to those final scenes, there's a lot of ground to cover in
nearly every story line. With Miami Metro inching closer to finding the Prof,
Dexter hides Travis in a South Beach hotel that looks Art Deco swanky from the
