Design Concepts Suitable for a Plus Size Bridesmaid Dress
Plus-sized bridesmaids should be able to feel sexy and beautiful in their dresses. Proper measurements are the first step. Wait after she has finished her evening meal before you take her measurements. You can always take a dress in but it will be a hassle to try and let a dress out at the last minute. Present her with a number of choices and allow her to pick one out. Make sure she is comfortable and all of her best parts are accentuated.
Start with a nice fabric that breathes, is not too bright and is comfortable to wear without wires and constraints.
Full bodies women would usually look great in dresses that are ball gown, column, empire waist or mermaid in type. For a Bridesmaid with well developed bust and hips, a ball gown or A-line dress will be most suitable. Deaccentuate the parts that she doesn’t want to show and you want to accent the most favorable parts of her body.
Mermaid style dress will make a tall girl more beautiful by making her long frame flow with elegance. Full figure fitting form gowns are not very flattering. Comfort is always best chosen over fashion. A feeling of tallness can be created by wearing long styles. You can add a lovely shawl or sleeves to her dress also if the bridesmaid wants to hide her arms.
To cover an unflattering neckline, a curved one can easily fix the problem.
A belt or sash adds an illusion of a waist which makes the top look smaller and the bottom look extended for a bridesmaid dress for a full sized woman. This is one fantastic trick to make a short-legged girl appear taller. Also, stay away from those bright vivid colors like flaming orange since all this really does is emphasize a person's size. On this special day, you want your plus sized friend to feel just as beautiful.
The Bridesmaid dress should be something that she can wear again, maybe altered and with a few accessories added. Ideally, plus sized bridesmaid dresses won't have a large amount of beads or other similar things on them, which can make the dress seem gaudy. It is not a good look. Taffeta and chiffon are ideal materials. Satin does not breath as well, and may be more form-fitting than necessary. The dresses should have a streamlined, unencumbered look to them, and avoid excesses or gathered places that just make them look bulky. If your goal is to give the illusion of a waist and height, go with a one layer of straight lines model, and use a belt or sash to accentuate the waist. Comfortable and flowing is the final look you want to achieve with a bridesmaid dress.

Why Star Corpses Go Green (and so will we!) [Starts With A Bang] (scienceblogs)
> "One touch of nature makes the whole world kin." -_William Shakespeare_
In January of 2006, the Hubble Space Telescope -- equipped with the greatest
telescope camera ever designed -- took this detailed picture of globular
cluster NGC 1846.
(Image credit: NASA and the Hubble Heritage Team, STScI/AURA, and P.
Goudfrooij.)
Like most globular clusters, this is a very tight, dense collection of perhaps
a few hundred thousand stars, contained in a roughly spherical region just a
few light years in size. Unlike most of the globular clusters we know, this
one is _not_ located within our own galaxy, but instead is about **160,000
light years away** in the outskirts of the Large Magellanic Cloud.
And like all the stars we're familiar with, this globular cluster contains a
great many of the great varieties that star colors are allowed to come in:
from hot, blue stars to white ones, to cooler yellow, orange, and even the
coolest type of all, _red_ stars. But if you look closely, you'll see
something in this image that ought to puzzle you terribly: a **green**-looking
object.
Now this _should_ bother you, because there is no such thing as a green star!
